Begin your Kedarnath Yatra from Haridwar or Rishikesh and drive towards Guptkashi through the sacred river valleys of Garhwal. The route passes important Himalayan towns and confluence points, gradually taking you from the spiritual plains into the mountain landscape. Enjoy views of the Alaknanda and Mandakini valleys as the journey moves closer to the Kedarnath region. On arrival in Guptkashi, check in and relax. The evening is kept light for rest and preparation before the Kedarnath darshan route.
Start early for the most important day of the yatra. Drive towards Sonprayag or Gaurikund as per local arrangements, and continue towards Kedarnath by trek, pony, palki or helicopter where available and booked separately. The route is filled with devotional energy, mountain views and the constant movement of pilgrims heading towards one of India’s most revered temples. On arrival, proceed for Kedarnath Temple darshan as per local conditions. Spend the evening in the sacred valley surrounded by dramatic Himalayan peaks.
Wake up in the divine atmosphere of Kedarnath, where the early morning views of the temple and surrounding peaks create a deeply spiritual experience. If time and conditions permit, attend morning darshan or spend quiet moments near the temple before beginning the descent. Return by the available route option towards Gaurikund or Sonprayag, witnessing the grandeur of the Kedarnath trail once again. Continue by vehicle to Guptkashi and relax after the physically demanding yet spiritually rewarding journey.
After breakfast, begin the return journey from Guptkashi towards Haridwar or Rishikesh. The drive follows the familiar Mandakini and Alaknanda valleys, offering time to reflect on the blessings and experiences of the Kedarnath Yatra. Depending on route timing, enjoy views of important confluence towns and Himalayan river corridors before reaching the drop point. The tour concludes with memories of Kedarnath Temple, the sacred trek route and the spiritual beauty of Uttarakhand.
